2008 ACH Rules Book Supplement #2
Since the publication of the 2008 edition of the ACH Rules, NACHA's Voting Membership has approved one additional amendment to the NACHA Operating Rules (Rules). This amendment, which will become effective on June 20, 2008, will require an ACH Originator to clearly identify itself in an ACH entry through the use of a name that is known to and readily recognized by the Receiver. This change will help to improve ACH Network quality by reducing the number of entries that are not recognized by Receivers and require investigation and exception handling on the part of the RDFI. Specifics of the changes resulting from this amendment are outlined within the attached documents.
Please include the attached materials with your 2008 edition of the ACH Rules to ensure that your rulebook is up to date. The online version of the ACH Rules will also be updated to incorporate this information.
You haven't missed Supplement #1, it is already included within your 2008 book.
