Protecting the Network: NACHA Risk Management Efforts & Direct Access Registration- How are you Affected?

The NACHA Board of Directors recently approved a Policy Statement on Direct Access that requires Originating Depository Financial Institutions (ODFIs) to register their direct access relationships for ACH debit transactions with NACHA and to follow prudent risk management techniques, including adherence to best practices for the duration of these relationships.

What does the new policy mean to the average financial institution? This teleseminar will answer that question and many more. Speakers will discuss why the Board felt the process was necessary, and how the Network’s risk management efforts will be enhanced, how NACHA’s Risk Management Advisory Group embarked on this new initiative and how future RMAG projects will benefit and evolve based on the response. Finally, speakers review specific scenarios related to registration & how financial institutions are benefited from participation.

This teleseminar is led by Jeanette Fox, Senior Director, Risk Investigation & Services, NACHA, and features presentations by Roy DeCicco, Managing Director, JPMorgan Chase, Alex Romeo, Director, Risk Analysis EPN Products & Services, The Clearing House, and Ann-Marie Bartels, President & CEO, Mid-America Payments Exchange.
